I'm linking up with the fab Farley at Oh, Boy 4th Grade again! (make sure to go check her out!)
LISTENING: To nothing. This is the time of day/week where I reflect and enjoy some silence. Grateful for the hubs who gets up early with the kiddos so I can rest a little before being bombarded! Though, I only have a few more minutes before the littlest comes running up to give me a picture he drew. He's my artist. SO different from the first born.
Loving: It.is.finally.FEBRUARY! January was brutal. 4 snow days, which added to our summer vacation. LOTS of delays. Friday was the end of our never ending 2nd Marking Period! Tomorrow we have a "room prep" day, but we're supposed to get 2-4 inches (or more, who knows!) of snow! I'm a little stressed because I get SO much done during that day! YIKES!
THINKING: Which leads me to thinking! I have SO much to do! Plans, clean my classroom, get ready for some new reading block kids... GRADES! Then there's home. I need to start cooking some goodies for tonight's game! We always have my BFF and her fam come over and eat some goodies and the kids play.
WANTING: A day off. Really. Just for me though. Not a snow day where I'm home refereeing my littles and getting nothing done. A day off for me, no strings attached. Oh, the things I could get done! (home, school, blogging, TPT, etc....)
NEEDING: That darn Groundhog to NOT see his shadow! I can't take more snow days. June 19th is late enough.......
2 Truths and a Fib:
Yep! I am a National Baton (and dance) champ! I twirled and danced for over 20 years. We competed all over the place and attended Nationals every other year. I miss it dearly, especially now that I have 2 boys. That's a past time I'll never really share with them.. (I also taught little 3 year olds routines and skills! Miss that too!!!)
Yep! Both of my kids are born on the 15th! March 15th for the oldest (however, he was supposed to be April 12....) and April 15th for my youngest! (and well, he was supposed to be April 9!) My BFF's daughter is July 15th! Super easy to remember!
NO! I HATE coffee. But, I do have a kuerig! lol Love my hot chocolate though! (My parents actually got it for me so they could make coffee when they come over once a week) ;)
Before I leave, just wanted to let you know that I'll be having my store on sale today! Click on the picture to head to my store!
Come see who else is having a sale today too over at Primary Possibilities!
June 19th?! That is ridiculous!! Maybe your district can apply to the state for a waiver? I live in Texas, and after we've used all our snow days, we can apply for a waiver from the State Board of Education so we don't have to make up the other days. Sometimes we get it, and sometimes we don't, but it's always worth a shot!

I used to live in MA and we never got out until the end of June. My birthday is the 25th and often it would be that day. Now that I'm in Texas, we get out like June 1st, but we have to make up our snow days on Memorial Day and Labor Day! I hate coffee as well, I like the smell of it, but not the taste! I have to grade today too...good luck!

We have only had one snow day, and it was really just a "conditions are too bad to travel" day...we only saw a couple of flurries. June 19th is really late! I am sorry! I am glad I found your blog through Farley's Currently!
